Weddings

A pretty wedding was solemnized at Saint George Roman Catholic Church,

when Rev. H. L. Couglan united in marriage

Margaret Frances, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John McVicar, Saint George,

and Leonard James, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Leland of Caithness, Charlotte County.

The bride wore a street-length dress of wool crepe in forget-me-not blue shade,

her matching shoulder length veil fell from a flower trimmed band of blue velvet.

Her corsage was yellow roses.

Miss Marie A. McVicar, Saint George, was her sister's bridesmaid.

She wore a two-piece street length dress of rose wool crepe,

with a brown silk-half-hat, and accessories of brown.

Her corsage was yellow roses.

Frederick M. Walsh, Saint John, a cousin of the bride, was groomsman.

Following the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served at Sea Surf Inn

at Pocologan to thirty-five relatives and friends of the young couple.

Later, Mr. and Mrs. Leland left on a wedding trip by car

to Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia.

Attending the wedding from out of town were:

Miss Margaret Dunn, Miss Vera McAloon, Miss Claire MacLaughlin, Saint John and

Miss Katherine Sampson, St. Stephen.
